Day 9 (fast) 153.8lbs

expected weight to go up today so thats ok. Thyroid and PCOS have mean't that it has been a struggle to lose weight but I will persevere. think I should reduce my calories on my normal days. I read up some stuff and what I am doing is similar to the QOD diet and they suggest 1200 - 1800 for women. Will try to aim for around 1400

sooo slow but guess it's a long term commitment, main thing is I have more energy and even if it's slow I am losing weight.

Day 7 (fasting) 153.6 lbs

ok weight didn't go up which is strange but hey not complaining!!! Keep having a go at ex, am still very very angry , am hoping this blog will give me an outlet and distract me worst case scenario god made prozac for a reason...

Am hoping I can drop 10 lbs within a month, this is a long term commitment and I do feel better but I would like to drop some weight to make me feel better and more confident.



1800 kcal yesterday (total kcals bumped up by a few glasses of wine!!)

Day 6 (normal) 153.6 lbs

yaaay whoooo I always get stuck around this weight but under 11 stone arrghhh. I know my weight will go up tommorrow but I am still happy! At my highest weight I was around 14 stone, at 5ft 2in that aint good. Have been hovering around 11stone for years and it's time to moooove on.

One thing I have noticed since I started is that I actually don't get that hungry which seems a bit odd. Also have more of a craving for fruit and veg which can't be a bad thing, I will start posting my rough daily calorie intake as well (ermmmm if I can be bothered)

I should mention I was inspired by the musingforces blogger, she has done a great job with this and I think her blog has shown that it is do-able, it has benefits and it isn't as painful as someone may think.

Intro - Day 5 - 155 lbs

Hi! I created this blog to chart my experiences a modified alternative day fast. I have been podgy forever, after my 27th birthday I had a good look at myself and decided I wasn't happy with what I saw in the mirror. I started a few days ago but figured creating a blog might motivate me to stick to it. I am consuming around 300kcals one day and then eating normally the next. I started on the 16th November 2009 at 11st 2.6lbs on today I am 11st 1lbs (fasting day) so I am on day 5. Fingers crossed this works!!
